Hi,
I am Lily. I am an interdisciplinary performance artist, vocalist, improvisor, choreographer, composer-performer. I am also a music teacher, music and movement pedagogue.
My artistical practice focus on the topics of migration, asian female, identity. I am keen to create art for children and for adults who still carry a childlike heart. I want to build a world where they can feel a sense of purity—a place where they are free to feel, to explore, and to simply be themselves.
My educational and social projects’ focus lies in designing and organizing concert formats, workshops, and participatory projects that make music accessible and engaging for children, seniors, and diverse audiences. I have worked on artistic and educational projects in China, Finland, the UK, Germany and Switzerland. Driven by creativity and human connection, I strive to design music education projects that are not only artistically strong but also educationally meaningful, socially inclusive, and sustainable.
I am studying now Composition in HKB with Swiss vocalist and composer Franziska Baumann and Danish composer Simon Steen-Andersen. I studied Community Music at the University of York in the UK and later pursued Music Pedagogy, specializing in Eurythmics and Performance, at the Hochschule der Künste Bern in Switzerland.
I have taken masterclasses with Sarah Maria Sun, Ute Wassermann, Meredith Monk, Shelley Hirsch, Joan La Barbara. I had my composition lessons with Silvan Cohen Elias and my improvisation lessons with Hans Koch, Martin Schütz, Jonas Kocher, Christopher Ogiermann. I am also taking classes by Leo Dick, Angela Koefer-Bürger, Andreas Schärer and Prof. Dr. Irena Müller-Brozovic.
Beyond that, I also love traveling, filming and writing. I’ve visited more than 20 countries and over a hundred cities. I especially enjoy sitting by the sea with my tea, writing and savoring my little moments of hygge.
